“Hangin’ around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down”.
-The Carpenters

Yesterday was quite a sad day.  For starters, I lacked sleep because my baby girl was up at different intervals in the night because she was down with the flu for a couple of days already.  She kept waking up from her cough and then wanting to drink water or go to the bathroom, etc.  That is all fine and I am surely glad to do it for my baby but such times take a toll on me too.  Moms need to recharge too but work gets in the way.  Yup, it does get in the way when you can’t carve that time to continue to sleep because the rest of the world begins, on a Monday!  So I worked away…while my baby slept until noon!

It’s most sad though to see her gloomy and weak even after a long sleep.  Clearly, she wasn’t alright.  I decided to have her have some fresh air and that is one thing we have tons of here in the boondocks!  I didn’t expect to receive this though….

A bountiful harvest that made my baby oh so happy.  She said she picked them for me.  All of a sudden, my tiredness melted away and I was good as new.  Rainy days and Mondays sometimes do get me down, but not for long.  Thank God for tiny hearts who know how to light up our gloomy days.
